At GNAR – Guardians of Nature and Rivers – our mission is to protect, restore, and celebrate Colorado’s rivers and natural landscapes through direct action, public education, and community-powered stewardship.
We believe in getting our hands dirty, in building deep connections to the land and water we rely on, and in creating a culture of responsibility and respect for nature. Whether it’s organizing cleanups, restoring habitats, leading educational workshops, or simply inspiring others to care, GNAR exists to make sure wild places stay wild – and accessible – for future generations.
